The Treatments
Energy facial massage
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, through the stimulation of the acupuncture points of the face, the treatment acts on three levels:
- On the skin, eliminating dead cells, improving blood circulation and skin shine;
- On the muscles, increasing blood volume and promoting their contractile activity;
- On the circulatory and lymphatic system, increasing the flow of blood vessels, promoting the elimination of toxins and draining fluids;
- The massage ends with the stimulation of some acupuncture points of the body and along the main meridians, relaxing the body and mind;
Nutritional consultancy
What do we mean by “Healthy Food”?
During the nutritional consultations of these years I have met new people and I thought I would share a thought that might be of interest to others.
I have noticed that we often have a concept of healthy food that would need some clarification. Let’s start from the assumption that in Chinese Medicine there are no absolutely forbidden foods and there is no rule that is valid for everyone.
Rather, we observe the person and try to understand their energetic balance in order to then recommend the foods, treatments and habits indicated at that moment.
So a dish that for someone could be a suitable choice because it is able to nourish them deeply or because it is able to correct some imbalance may not be so essential and ideal for someone else.
Let me give you an example: a person who is sensitive to the cold, with lower back pain, abdominal pain, who has difficulty digesting and feels cold after meals, with edema especially in the legs, a woman with amenorrhea, pain in her period should limit the consumption of for example raw foods, salads, fresh dairy products.
The reality is that people like the ones I described often tell me to bring a mixed salad or tomato and mozzarella to work for lunch because it is considered a healthy food compared to a plate of pasta or a cereal with vegetables and legumes.
There is no judgment or criticism in what I am writing and the people who know me know how respectful I am of the habits and ideas of others.
I know very well that choices can be influenced by the time available, by what we have been taught, by advertising and then, why not, also by what we like most in terms of taste.
But the purpose of a consultation is precisely to find the best compromise, the one that makes us feel good, makes us understand how much we are really thinking about our deep nourishment and above all the one that makes us happier.
Cupping
Cellulite, cupping and Chinese medicine.
How many of you feel your lower limbs tired in the summer?
How many, if they touch the surface of the legs, pressing, feel pain?
It is a stasis of liquids that involves the circulatory system, in particular the flow of qi in the legs, as in the case of retention. In this case a very useful treatment, which I recommend to my clients is Cupping or “Cupping”, always accompanied by a controlled food schedule and some specific qi gong exercises.
The most famous is the silicone cup for self-treatment, but in the studio I use heated glass cups. along the main meridians relaxing body and mind.
Moxa
For Moxa (Moxibustion from “moe kusa” which means “burning herb”), a real therapeutic tool is used that has very ancient origins and is used by Chinese Medicine to resolve some pathologies.
It contains pure mugwort, known in the collective imagination as the “devil-chasing” herb.
Being very “yang” in nature, it is indicated for all disorders dominated by cold and humidity.
It can also help people who need to support the digestive process, who have abdominal swelling, heaviness after meals and cold in the abdomen.
The beneficial power of Qi Gong: indoor and outdoor lessons
Qi Gong helps improve health by bringing nourishment to the body and spirit while remaining connected to the principles of nature that surround us.
The practices, carried out regularly, have beneficial effects on:
- Muscular and skeletal system
- Respiratory system
- Circulatory system
- Internal organs and viscera
- Digestive system
- Immune system
- Nervous system
When we bring our attention inward we are stronger and have greater awareness. The meetings will take place outdoors, in the winter garden “ENERGY”.
